How We Help Families

Real Estate Decisions for Every Stage of Life

We're experts in helping families understand how the family home can fit into multigenerational living, aging in place, and long-term care planning.

For many families, the home is one of their largest assets, but when a parent or loved one begins needing additional care, it can also become one of the most complicated decisions. We're experts in helping families understand their real estate options, ask the right questions, and bring the right professionals together before major decisions are made.

Our story

Why We Started Doing This Work

Our own families experienced the challenges of navigating long-term care while trying to understand what role the family home should play.

We had estate attorneys, financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals providing valuable advice within their areas of expertise. But one question kept coming up:

Who was looking at the whole picture, including the family home?

That experience made us experts in helping families navigating long-term care understand the role of the family home, before a crisis forces the decision.

The roadmap

The Long-Term Care & Home Decision Roadmap

We're experts in helping families see how the home may be used at different stages of care, what questions to ask, and which professional advisors may need to be involved.

01

Age in place

Could the existing home be adapted to make it safer and more accessible?

02

Multigenerational living

Could parents, children, or other family members combine housing or resources?

03

Generate income

Could part of the property, an ADU, or another real estate asset help offset care expenses?

04

Find a more appropriate property

Would another home better support accessibility, caregiving, or family needs?

05

Sell when the time is right

Selling may eventually be the right decision, but it does not have to be the first or only option considered.
